This is part two of the historic timber-frame surveys ‘before and after’ training. Historic timber-frames should be considered as being ‘high-risk’ building surveys. They are high-risk to the surveyor but also high-risk for the client. It is essential that the surveyor is competent and experienced in this type of construction. The survey should be declined otherwise. This training will cover common timber-frame defects and help you to understand how to make decisions regarding the condition of the frame and whether or not those observations might be serious or not. |
