4th Oct, 2025 Cressing Temple Barns, Essex |
|
This course is aimed at building managers, historic buildings advisers, planners, architects and ecologists who would like to learn more about how to proceed when undertaking works on historic buildings which may impact bats. All bats are protected species, so this knowledge is essential to avoid disturbing them or damaging their habitats. Attendees will be taken on a tour of the medieval barns at Cressing Temple, during which they will make their own assessment of the buildings for bat potential. Specialist equipment, such as endoscopes and bat detectors, and specimens of bats will be available to inspect, as well as weighted examples that can be handled to appreciate their size. |
