JPS 2022 – Investigation of moisture and its effects on traditional buildings – was published in September 2022 as a collaboration between RICS, Historic England and PCA. It is a landmark document that has also been approved and adopted by Cadw, Historic Environment Scotland, Historic Communities Division Northern Ireland, SPAB and IHBC. The document aims to finally put an end to the decades of inappropriate and unnecessary remedial damp-proofing, mostly by chemical injection. This CPD session will take you through the seven sections of JPS 2022 and will provide you with a complete understanding of how the document is to be used in practice. |
