HB&P members and non-members to this year's Annual Lecture. Guest lecturer, Tim Dunn, railway historian, broadcaster and writer, is best known for presenting The Architecture the Railways Built and Secrets of the London Underground. To mark 200 years since the birth of the modern railway, Tim will present a talk titled 'What did the railways do for us?'. As the UK railway network celebrates this remarkable anniversary, Tim will share the stories of extraordinary buildings and structures that were built for it, built because of it – and in some cases, destroyed for it. As part of the evening, HB&P will announce the winner of the 2025 Stephen Croad Prize. The recipient will give a short talk on their winning essay and research, offering fresh perspectives on the historic built environment. |
