POSTPONED - SPAB Lecture & Visit: The Hill House

9th May, 2020
Hill House, Argyll and Bute

The Hill House, Charles Rennie Macintosh's pioneering modernist house, built for Glasgow publisher Walter Blackie in 1903 using cutting-edge materials, has not withstood Scotland's weather well. Bryan Dickson will describe the NTS's approach to repairing the building, including allowing it to dry out within a temporary protective steel mesh box, designed by Carmody Groarke.
