SPAB Lecture: Improving Energy Efficiency in Traditional and Vernacular buildings

The sixth lecture in the 10-part on-line series, 'Conserving Irish Vernacular Houses.' The series is part of SPAB Ireland Vernacular Irish Buildings Campaign 2021. This lecture will examine ways of improving the thermal performance of traditional and vernacular structures. All aspects of such buildings, including walls, floors, and roof spaces will be looked at. Case studies, including one from an A-listed vernacular Scottish building, will also be discussed. This lecture will be based around Historic Environment Scotland's site-based research.
