House History: Researching & Understanding Your Historic Building

The morning will be split into two sessions. The first talk will look at what sources are typically available for understanding the origins and development of historic buildings, focusing on archival sources. The session will finish with a tour of the ERO which will show you how to access their collections for your own research and include a display of historic maps and other documents. Also a peek behind-the-scenes at how the collections are cared for.
