St Mark's Church, Hale was built in 1883, of brick and flint and the chancel of the church is of great interest; it is decorated with impressive murals of 'the Song of Creation' painted by local artist Kitty Milroy between 1911 and 1920. There was deterioration including plaster loss, paint flaking, and dirt to the murals and they have recently been restored. Nick Seversway, Chair of the Kitty Committee, secured their restoration, and he has kindly offered to host the visit. |
