The Palace That Never Was Exhibition

1st Sep, 2023
Biggar and Upper Clydesdale Museum, Scotland

A 200-year-old architectural model for a redesign of Dalkeith Palace, in a Jacobean style, is on display at Biggar Museum. The project was conceived by architect William Burn around 1830 for the 5th Duke of Buccleuch and while the build was never undertaken the model was kept in storage for many years before being painstakingly restored. It's now on display 1st April to 1st September.
