The National Maritime Museum holds the national archive of maritime history. Part of Royal Museums Greenwich, the NMM's resources include the Caird Library and a vast archive collection with collections storage at the Prince Philip Maritime Collections Centre (PPMCC) in Kidbrooke. The conservation of art, scientific instruments, archives, textiles and the wider object collections is also undertaken at PPMCC.
